    Hi! Thank you for a question. You do not need to use an Avatar when making a bag, but an avatar can be very useful. I am placing a link below that shows how to make your own avatar in CLO for bags. Please do not hesitate to follow up with any further questions

    Where a  'last' volume avatar is handy for a bag is where you need to work to luggage that maintain specification measures as a core volume to work around.  But yeah , no hard and fast rules to say you need to start with a bag volume avatar, but handy to use as a tool to maintain reference.

    Thanks! I have found a good solution without using an Avatar!

     

    I reduced gravity to 0.00 and applied strength to my pattern pieces. I then assign back to non-strength and the item floats perfectly.
