Garment & placket in one pattern piece - how to reinforce placket?

Hi, I'm trying to simulate a fold-over placket as shown in this photo: https://www.vogue.com/fashion-shows/resort-2021/carolina-herrera/slideshow/collection#2

How do I reinforce the inside of the placket without reinforcing the whole pattern piece? Also, what is the best way to give a fold-over effect on the edge of the placket?

  To make the edge stiffer you could do one of two things: 1. Apply edge seams which can go all the way to 20 mm in width from the edge. 2. Apply bonding to an internal shape.
