OBJ as Trim color

I imported an OBJ as a trim and the color is weird. I select the OBJ and add color, it has different shades instead of a consistent color:

 

Any thoughts on how to make it all one consistent color?

  The OBJ's UV map and normals seem to be all over the place. This is something you'll have to check back in the software where the OBJ was created.

  You're totally right. I went back and started with a STEP file rather than an IGS file. Other than the low number of polygons, t worked great. I'll do another export with better resolution:
