    I'm still learning, but here are a couple ways I would approach it:

    • Assuming you would be ok with static boning - not simulating flexibility - I would approach this like building and using a buckle, though it is more complex.  Here's a video on how to create an OBJ and use it in CLO:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNClfQfz7Yk&feature=youtu.be  Create the boning, save it as an OBJ, import it as an avatar.
    • Another option might be to create the skirt hips in fabric, inflate them to give them your desired structure, and then create the boning from there with the 3D pen and freezing tool?  Similar to an underwire when building a bra - this wouldn't be my first choice for how to approach it, but could possibly work.

     

    If you do figure out how to do this, I'd love to see the results and know how you end up accomplishing it!
