Few Issues Recreating Punching Bag

    Andrew, here are my thoughts:

For problem 1, you should decrease the particle distance on both the bag and the fabric holding it so you have more geometry to collide. Now, if I were doing this, I would pull the bag extremes with pins (just like you are doing with the straps) and then add the straps as a visual prop only and not as the mechanical feature to pull the bag.

For problem 2, I'm not completely following the problem, but stitches is the only way to join pieces of fabric together in CLO (there are tacks, but not for this purpose).

What is the purpose of this punching bag? Is this a prop for a 3D game, are you testing leather patterns? If the first, maybe this is a job suited for sculpting or mesh modeling rather than simulation with fabric.

    Hi Pablo,

    Thanks for your response!

I'm creating a digital version of the punching bag so I can do some look development and experiment with different materials on the bag through renderings. I want the construction and shape of the bag to look as close to the reference image as possible and I'm really not getting the result I'm after using stitching. With the stitching, the straps on the bag puff out in their centers whereas they are laying flat in my reference photo. Do you have any suggestions for any other tools or workarounds I could use to get the result I'm looking for?
