How to create a mock neck hood?

I have created a very simple hood. Is there a way to turn this into a mock neck hood, by somehow combining the pieces ..without being too invasive?

  Hello Kartiayla. I don't think this is the right forum to ask about pattern making. Maybe someone will know and share it with you, but this forum is dedicated to CLO as a tool, for which basic pattern making skills are required. Keep up the good work!

  chak7 hi, I may have used the wrong term. This is the hood I am trying to create but with drawstrings. I understand the sewing tools but I am not sure how to shape the hood so that is sews this way.

  Hi kartiayla, 

  You will have to research how to draft a cross over hood as a starting point. 

  Here are my suggestions:
  1. Widen the neckline to look similar to the picture you have.

  2. Use 3D pen to mark where you want the hood edge to end on the neckline. Transfer your mark to the 2D pattern.

  3. Find out the length from CF to the mark on the neckline.

  4. Extend the hood neckline length.

  You will still need to play around the hood depth to balance the look you want.
