AMD RYZEN CPU SUPPORT
I have the plan to buy Ryzen 3rd generation CPU for simulation as GPU simulation is immature and it has a lot of problems, especially for multilayer garments. I don't know what will the CLO performance in Ryzen CPU. Is CLO support AMD CPU or is there any issue with the performance with AMD CPU. Anyone using CLO in AMD CPU, need some advice for performance issue?

I would suspect that the Ryzen works pretty good. Here is an article from CGChannel.com over the Boxx Apexx T3 which has the Ryzen Threadripper 2990WX and shows that Marvelous Designer 7 performed very well. I would assume since MD is Clo's sister application that Clo would have similar results. The article compared other Ryzen and Intel computers to the Boxx Apexx T3.

that is very useful articles. But it will be even better if we can see some benchmark of CLO as well.

I don't expect to actually see those benchmarks for CLO. The reason is that there may be a lot of fashion studios using CLO but there are far more visual effects studios, game studios and freelance individuals that are using Marvelous Designer in the world. And when doing benchmarks for the latest CPUs they will compare it to the most used software being used by the masses and not for a niche industry application.
As I stated above Marvelous Designer is the sister application to CLO and I would bet with high probability that they share at least 85% to 90% of the code base if not more. They are too identical to be built off completely different code base. They are both CPU intensive applications and when people do benchmarks against Marvelous Designer I read between the lines and bundle CLO into their results.
In my opinion if the current generation of AMD Ryzen CPU supports Marvelous Designer it will support CLO based on the benchmarking articles that are being published.
I've requested the next time Jason with CG Channel does a Ryzen CPU benchmark if he could also include CLO in his testing.

Just an update I got a reply from Jason the reviewer on CG Channel. He said he will be engaging AMD for a Ryzen 3000 series processor in late summer and he has noted to look into getting CLO benchmarked. That would be interesting to see if there is a big difference between CLO and Marvelous Designer in performance.

that was great news. Ryzen 3 released yesterday. now it's time to see the Benchmark. I will keep eye on that CG channel and thanks for the details.
