Feature request: Auto refresh texture
I´d like to have the following feature /option to improve the workflow when working on external programms for texture files:
Once a linked texturefile is changed it should be automatically update in Clo. So you need a sort of listener to the file and once it is changed update the texture.
Or is there a way to externally trigger the update (that could maybe be pushed by a vba script)?

Hi clo,
You can do this! After you make an edit to a Graphic or Texture file and save your progress, right click anywhere in a blank space in the 2d or 3d window, there is an option to Refresh Textures (shortcut F5), and it will update!

Hi,
the clue would be not to have change the window and press F5, so Clo should notice on its own that the file had been change and update the texture. This way I would not have to change the window to ClO, press F5, go back to AI change again, go back to clo, press F5...
I was thinking about making a script in Python that can do it, but I´m unsure if this is possible with the python interface of Clo (for sure Python is able to listen to files and on change could the tell clo to update the texture but in the python example function I do not find a refresh texture function).

Hi Royalbikewear
Did you create the piton script?
3 years have passed and it is not possible that this indispensable function for texture processing has not been implemented.
Has anyone found an alternative solution?
Thanks

Hi Michele,
no, I did not. So my "F5" button is still on heavy use ;-).
For me it is also a bit strange it had not been developed by Clo.

HI clo
Sorry, but as of now this is not possible. As CLO would have to be constantly checking to see if files have been updated and this would slow down CLO.
So for now you will have to refresh textures manually

It seems very strange to me too.
Clo 3d has a lot of potential and should have this too.
It seems like a silly thing but this feature could open up a whole new world of graphic opportunities.
Pushing the texture editor to another planet.
It's impossible that they haven't thought about it or that they haven't understood how fundamental it is.
They didn't have to integrate the AI that makes low-level textures that no one would ever use to produce a garment, they could implement this function
My f5 key is the most used on the keyboard :( :( :(

@US Designer Support Thanks for your reply. You are having a realy great tool with amazing rendering results but your developers are unable to add a a filesystemwatcher and worry about the systemresources for this? It is like a tesla not having lights because of the to high power consumption for them.
