Squaring off perpendicular to edges - help!
Hi,
I want to know how to square off from edges (for example, squaring off the first part of the neckline from centre front) and keep them squared off when grading.
- When you hold shift to drag out a bezier curve, it does not create a guideline on the x or y axis like Adobe Illustrator. It creates guidelines based on something else (not sure what), but it's not helpful. Is there a way to drag the bezier curves out with guides on the x or y axis?
- Secondly, when grading, first you have to convert all the beziers to curve points. This is fine, but it means that lines that have been squared off do not retain that shape when graded. That means the grade starts going more and more off-course, creating divots or points at edges that should remain squared off. Is there a way to make the grade function retain the perpendicular corner? (Note: the perpendicular corner tool does not do anything useful here)

When grading we do recommend using Curve Points instead of the Bezier Handles.
-When holding shift to drag the bezier handle the XY axis is based off of where the handle was located when you clicked on it and not where the Segment Point is.
-For squaring something off at a right angle or similar you would want to have a Segment Point there and then Grade from that Segment Point.
