Petite and tall grading
Hi,
My garments are available in petite, regular and tall versions. Each version has sizes S,M, and L.
Is there an efficient way to grade from size M PETITE to all remaining 8 sizes (M PETITE to M REGULAR, M TALL, S REGULAR, and so on)
My guess was to create custom avatars for each size and height and use auto grading but I'm not sure if the length would adjust accordingly.
Another idea I had was to first grade M SHORT to M REG and M Tall. Then use each graded pattern to grade from S-L. I am. not sure if it is possible, as I couldn't find the way to "extract" the graded size as a separate pattern/garment.
Please help!

Hi magda
You can find a video about how Grading in CLO works HERE. You can also find a video about Grade Review Mode that I think you will find helpful HERE.
For Auto Grading, we like to think of this more like Auto Fit. It is great to jump from Regular sizing to Petite or Regular to Tall. But it will not grade out a full size range. You can see any example of this in the first video link above.
We hope the videos above help!

Hi,
Thanks for the answer. That's helpful.
One more thing - if I grade M Petite to M Reg and M Tall manually, can I save (extract) M Reg as a separate pattern to be able to grade it separately to S and L?
Thanks!

Hi. For grading different size sets we usually recommend having three versions of the file saved. One for Petite, One for Regular, and One for Tall.
So Yes, You can save a new version. Remove the Grading on the older version and then apply the new grading
