Modular Blocks & Compatibility with versions of CLO

Hello! 

My team and I found that blocks created in CLO 7 don't always line up with the correct arrangement point is older versions of CLO like 5.2. However, blocks authored in 5.2 seem to work as expected in 7.  

Our users have a variety of CLO versions installed on their computer, ranging from 5.2 to 7.0. In this case, is it best to author blocks in the lowest common version of CLO, 5.2?

We're contemplating authoring all our blocks in 5.2. Will future versions of CLO maintain compatibility with blocks made in older versions of CLO?

  Hi cdesit. We recommend that your users all update to 7.0. Is there a reason that they are unable to update to newer versions?

  Newer versions of CLO can look back at older version. But newer versions of CLO have lots of new features, which means that building in 7.0 and then opening in an older version that is missing these newer features will not always be compatible.
