Parent Garment to Hardware
Hello All
I'm trying to solve a small issue. I am trying to add custom rings into my garment that has holes along the sleeve. In most cases I would glue the hardware on but in this case I would like the fabric to be attached to all sides not one single point. Something I am thinking is adding a circular garment piece with 0 opacity that can be parented to the custom hardware trim that can then be used as a sewing point? Would this work? I haven't found a way to parent objects within CLO. Perhaps there is another way? Thank you

See how I create eyelets for this MD sailors bag, same deal with CLO3D - just before I thread a pull chord, where the ringlet is created from a thickened piece of cloth that has the edge radii and thickness increased to the metal ringlets dimension(s). This is the same principle you may use for any cloth garment, or 'ringlet' placed into a curtain as it allows you to sew the element into the cloth item. You may stiffen the ringlet so it does not flex by applying strength and a new 'custom' fabric physical preset to the ring itself. Dial up the stiffness factor in the physical preset to suit your project.

You may apply 'strengthen' to model elements to create a smooth fabric that retains some shape, and you may also lock that into the pattern using solidify so you may still move the cloth around. So these two functions are useful for holding shape into fixings and elements on accessories.
eg: hats - where stiffness and edge treatment of fabric are key features.
