best export settings for clo7 to cinema 4d - what works for you?
hi all,
trying to figure out the best most efficient setting for export as OBJ --> into c4d
anything you recommend that works well?
was mostly trying to figure out how to avoid seeing gaps between certain pieces at the seams / what works well in general.
i've tried:
multiple objects + thick
but this doesnt show colour youve applied in clo
single object + weld + thin
shows colours. the pieces are fused together. bit harder to make new selections based on pattern pieces.
single object + thick (is this the best option?)
shows colours. removes gaps between seams. easyish to make new selection based on pattern pieces even when different colours/textures not previously applied in clo - so gives good flexibility.
i thought this was the best option - BUT does this create and "inner and outer" version of every pattern piece which makes it trickier to texture. anyone else find this?
what do you all use?
in most tutorials i see people just export default to export to cinema with "Single object - thin" but this means there are gaps between some seams when i do it?
any help. / insight appreciated! thanks
