M1 Macs
There has to be a way to make CLO compatible with M1 Macs. Compared to other 3D applications (even ones that run successfully on Rosetta) — Cinema, Zbrush, Substance — CLO actually performs worse than it did on my older, non-M1, laptop.
Please CLO team, is there any update you can share on potential compatibility of CLO in M1 macs?
Thank you.

On the Apple Event, during the presentation of M1 Ultra, Joy Douglas from CLO3D joined in explaining how wonderful the experience was.
I wonder if that is a specially tailored version for M1 or was Joy talking about CLO being used on Mac using Apple Rosetta.
I wish we had more information on this. We are investing in CLO3D and also on new hardware...
CLO3D should give more insight into what was shown on the Apple Event!!!!!!!!

This appearance in the keynote shows that CLO is now developing a version that takes advantage of the Apple Hardware. The M1 was first introduced in November of 2020, Apple has since updated it and in that time CLO has been working on the compatibility based on the access we were given by Apple themselves. We cannot run before we can walk

So it is in the works?

Clo3D is absolutely unusable on a new M1 macbook pro. Not sure why they would promote that in an apple keynote. It’s actually broken

Something I've noticed on my Mac Studio which improves performance hugely… Go into your Simulation Properties and change Number of CPU in Use to something like 1. I don't know what's going on here, but I'm finding that changing this value to anything between 1 and 5 seems to improve the performance in a big way – try it. I only wish that this parameter was saved with the file. I'm finding that every time I start a new session I have to change this parameter. Same with things like 3D Grid Brightness properties – why can't these parameters get saved either with the file or as default preferences within the application?
