Error message "Failed to flatten pattern"
Hello everyone,
My name is Sofia this is my first post. I tried looking this issue up first but couldn't find a relevant topic.
When trying to use the Flatten tool in the 3D window I am currently getting a "Failed to flatten some patterns" error.
When this happens I just 'ctrl+z' and go back to 3d window to adjust the patterns, however this creates another issue as the extracted patterns are not sewn together.
When I select all the pieces with 'Edit Sewing' they are marked as sewn, if I try to sew with 'Free Sewing' tool , I get an 'Overlapping Sewing Line' error.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to solve this?

Dear Sofia, "failed to flatten some patterns" occurs if the pattern piece cannot realistically be accomodated for by 2D calculation. It can be necessary to add more lines / dividing seams in your design in order to be able to create pattern pieces. From afar, it is not possible to tell due to which shape exactly the message is coming up.
"Overlapping Sewing Line" appears when a seamline relationship is already present on the lines that you are trying to sew together. After reversing a step, it might be necessary to simply activate simulation again in order to straighten out the current arrangement in the 3D window after it had been "disheveled".
