Automatically match sewn edges
Hi, I'm a very new user of the software and I don't know if I'm not finding the right article or it's not possible, but I'm wondering if it is possible to automatically match a sewn seam length once it has been marked as sewn together?
For example, I have two edges, both are currently 128.9mm. I want to change the length of one of the edges, but I'd like it if the edge it's sewn to would change to be the same, so I don't have to work around the design making small tweaks to all the edges.
Start
Step 2, bottom edge is now 140
I can manually change the top edge to match, but I wanted to check there isn't a setting I can make on the edge or the sewing itself that will match them automatically for me?
Thanks

Hi happymxlocust. If you use the Edit Pattern Tool and R-Click on the line that you want to adjust the length to you will see a drop down menu. Form there you can select Change Length. You will then see a pop up where you can change then length and which end you want to adjust.

Thank you for this, this will make changing length easier, but is there a way of linking two edges that are sewn together (so if A and B are sewn together, a change to A will also change B), or is that not possible at all?

Hi happymxlocust. The Change Length tool can only be used on one line at a time. You could use the Edit Pattern tool + shift to select and move multiple points on once.. If while you L-click and drag you also R-click if will open a precision box to put in an exact amount to move. Hope this helps!
