Elastic effect at waist

Set the pattern pieces elastic value in the property editor for the edge / seam / internal line on the pattern piece. You can set that to the length you will use in production (finished girth as per technical specification sheet) or you can set a % ratio eg: 80% or input a fixed contracted length.

    Hi  Ottoline

    Thanks for the reply.

But the workflow is suggested by  "Buyers Manual - work flow for various type of garments".  This is for garment FIT PURPOSE at Buyer side.

They are not Happy with your suggested Elastic.

In Older version of MD/CLO3d - This work flow was working very well.

    thanks

    :-(

Your joking, right ? Yes / No?

just in case you missed the information contained in the CLO3D training video ... > how to apply the tools to a waistband.

    :-|

Works fine in both CLO3D and MD

Avatar range of waist girths > 770 - (max opening) 870mm for one sized waist band with 50cm elastic contraction shows the correct strain (at the elastic at rest length )and expansion behavior for a range of optimal min to max avatar girths for that waistband pattern length whereby the elastic bands sits in position on the avatar and under the correct strain (50mm/ 2 inches) lower waist girth using the default settings (eg: cloth to avatar offset).

Below min waist for garment waist band (test)

Note > at rest length for elastic st in the property editor for those elements on the waistband.

Below max stretch for garment waist band (test).

Ensure you check off your property editor values so that your pattern with elastic sits at the correct length against your spec sheet/or made waistband sample.

Fully stretched > max opening just for illustration purposes this is obviously out of spec for what a tech sheet would likely have but you get the gist that you can test this visually and numerically.

Works as expected in this simple example .... above max waist girth and resultant waistband fit, stays rock solid with 100% result indicating this is good to go for that range of avatar waist girth sizes for that specific pattern length and elastic construction. Hope that helps you navigate the video - it's possible as outlined.
