Background in Render
Please take a look at my image & settings in render and advise me how to correct the horizontal line. Things I have tried:
- different HDR settings
- different background textures
-different background colors
-full render after each change above

Looks like you have something on in the scene.
Checklist:
- Go to the scene tree to ensure there is no other 'object' element in the scene, eg: a lamp, floor, ground plane. This can be done in the root scene directory. If there is an additional element you can try switching it off (lamp plane or ground shadow catcher plane), or deleting that element.
- Ensure your HDRI orientation used in lighting the scene and background is at the correct x,y,z axis as it was intended. Do not switch HDRI axis for the dome lighting.
- Check you do not have any hidden light planes (lamps) active in the render scene that are not shown in the 3D preview scene, these can only become obvious (like hidden objects in your scene) when you render in vray.
- Finally- if you are using a background image plate in the render and have the camera set to render without the HDRI dome in the final image, this means the 2D plate image you use for the background must be set at a relative position to the camera plane such that it renders to match the lens type and perspective of the light dome. Backplates are often set to match the HDRI dome lighting in a preview scene such that when the camera is rotated it is also constrained, they are a matching set that give seemless transitions in the lighting set, so if you loaded a .fbx scene with camera position and lighting rig you may need to check that in a previous app, to match settings for use in vray.

I know its too late to answer but if you turn off the ground shadow in light setting in render tab it would disapear
