Problem with using the Trace (I) tool

Hey guys,

See the screenshot below. Does this happen with anyone else? It does not trace the internal lines as a pattern, even though I choose trace as a pattern. 

Any suggestion would be helpful.

  For me there is no problem making a trace pattern. Maybe you chose trace as an internal line

  Thanks for your input but I am choosing trace as a pattern, not internal shape.

  Here, I think it's necessary to check each of the corners and make sure they are closed shapes, it looks like there are points slightly overlapping at some and hence tiny gaps.  Lines need to completely meet, or overlap for trace. Align each corner then right click and choose "join overlapping points".
