Polygon Count
Is there a way to optimize or control the polygon count of the Avatar and the Garments before exporting?

Hi Jeremy,
Garment polygons are controlled by Particle Distance. Instead of polygon count, you're controlling the size of each polygon and the pattern will automatically refill. Select any of the pattern pieces you want, then navigate to the Property Editor on the side to see the Particle Distance number:

By default it's 20mm and we recommend changing everything to around 5mm for better quality before exporting, though the lowest number is 0.8mm. Each pattern piece can have a separate Particle Distance, and you can change the values at will. Just remember to Simulate after each change and that lower values will result in slower simulation. If you'd rather have Quads instead of Triangles, the Misc menu in the Property Editor allows you to change the type of mesh and tells you the Face/Vertex counts.

The default Avatar's polygons can be subdivided to smooth out its surface. Select it in the 3D Window, then check Divide Mesh in the Property Editor. It's not possible to do more comprehensive editing on the Avatar unless you just want to change the texture maps.
