Pattern modification - keep original lines visible

Hello, it is possible to keep visible the orignal pattern lines while modifying the pattern?

  Hi elisaplupelizza

  When you Select an Entire pattern piece you can R-click and choose Clone as Reference line (you can also delete later). This will leave behind a Grey line where the pattern line originally was
