Need help with puffed sleeve hoodie pattern design
Hi
I am in the process of creating a hoodie pattern and I am having trouble with the sleeves. I want to create a puffed sleeve with a unique design, but I am struggling to avoid creasing at the edge of the sleeves. I have attached a picture to give you an idea of what I am looking to achieve.
I was hoping that someone with experience in pattern making could help me figure out how to create this design without having any creasing on the sleeves. I would really appreciate any advice or tips you could offer.
Thank you in advance for your help!
Best regards, Théo

Hi theopro
If you do not want gathers at the cuff your sleeve pattern is going to need to reduce to the width (or close to) at the edge.
Can you add visuals of your current pattern?

Thanks for your answer.
I've reduced the with and it removed the pleat. But now I'm struggling to achieve a tulip-shaped sleeve. The only partially relevant result I've obtained (example 2) looks okay only from the front angle. I've tried playing around with the number of seams, the thickness and stiffness of the fabric, but I just can't seem to get it right. I've attached an image with the examples I've tried. Can anyone offer any suggestions or tips to help me out?
Thanks in advance!
