Hi. We usually do not recommend adjusting the physical fabric properties unless you fully understand each setting. The default Physical Fabric Properties are taken from real life fabrics.

Did you adjust Skin Offset of the Avatar or Additional Thickness collision of the pattern piece?

Have you adjusted the pressure on the pattern pieces?

hello i reset the fabric qualities back to normal no additional thickness collision isnt adjusted neither is the avatar skin off set, pressure is also at 0 as well. i appears to fan out near the height of the elbows, also when i deactivate sewing of the side seams o the shirt the garment falls down properly, but i use normal free sewing and it goes back to how it is.

The shirt does look pretty large in comparison to the size of the Avatar. Of course I do not know if this is meant to be oversized or not.

I would try to repose the Avatar into A-Pose and then reduce the Particle Distance of the Garment to 5 to see the most realistic Drape. Make sure to check your sewing and pattern frrom there

Have you tried applying knit cotton jersey as the fabric?  There certainly is French terry that's the correct weight for t-shirts, but more often it's a sweatshirt weight fabric, and the CLO presets are more of that weight.  I think this could make a difference.
