Limit to number of graphics and graphic file sizes
Hi,
I have a placement embroidery design that I am adding using the graphic tool. I wanted to know if there is a limit to the number of graphic files that can be added to a design or a limit on the the total number of Mb that can be added with the graphics tool before the render function stops working? It don't have an issue adding lots of maps, its just after a certain number the render stops working (both the live render and non-live render)
I don't think it is a laptop power issues as I am running a high spec CPU laptop with a very good graphics card.
I have 18 pattern pieces and each piece needs it's own graphic and corresponding normal and displacement map.
I have already lowered the size of each of the maps so each is around 300-400Kb with some at a max size of 1.5Mb.
Is these a limit on the number of files that can be added or a maximum total number of MB that can be added?
Thanks
Ryan

Hi rjbeveridge1. There is no limit to the amount of graphics that you can add, but the more you add creates a larger file which can cause CLO to run slower.
With adding maps (both normal and displacement) if your render engine stops working you can try switching from GPU CUDA to CPU as well as increasing the Particle Distance. This usually fixed the issue and is usually only happens when you have displacement maps covering all of your fabric.

Hi,
Thanks,
I can confirm this seems to work which is great. I didn't need to change the particle distance only change to CPU only.
Can you advise the reason for this, is it some limitation on the graphics card in processing displacement maps?
Best
