Binding tool not working on most hems and edges

Hi, I've read most posts about this issue, can't seem to do binding on most of the edges or hems on this piece, only the middle v neck part "took" after many attempts.

All other edges appear red from the get go and nothing happens no matter how much I try.

Any solutions please?

  Thank you for reaching out. 
  As you may have noticed, the automated binding tool works best and most stable around smooth and even hemlines without corners or strong curvatures.
  This corresponds to real life, where applying bias binding to more complex hem shapes also requires additional manipulation of the tape (folding, stretching, gathering). 
  
  It is possible to manually add binding to more complex hem shapes.
  To do this, please try to create the tape as a rectangle of the desired dimensions and with particle distance ~5 , grainline set to 45°, then sew on via the usual tools. Use 'Offset as Internal Line' from the hemline to create an internal line as a second sewing line. Sew and set the Sewing Line Types to "turned" in the Property Editor.
