Saved projects are gone
I was in the middle of using the program and my screen went back. When I got my computer back up and running I went to open a previously saved file that had been saved weeks before but it was not there. All of my previously saved projects are gone! Would they be in a different place? Why would they disappear?

Hello, kentstate thank you for your inquiry.
You can check your autosaved files by going to Settings --> User Setting --> Default Files ---> Auto Save and copying the file path link.

Let us know if there are any further questions.
Take care

This autosave feature is useless. As far as I can tell, it only rewrites over itself. And even though my file has a set path to save to, CLO is randomly resetting to an unknown file and autosaving there instead of my saved location. What the heck??? I have once again completely lost a file I was working on despite saving it several times to its original location. I couldn't recover it from autosave because another file autosaved since then, and since it rewrites, the first one is now forever lost. I can't make any sense of this autosave feature. I'm super upset this isn't more intuitive and helpful feature.

Hi heather
The Auto save function is only meant to recover a project after CLO or your computer crashes. Once you re-launch CLO you can then open the Auto Save and save the file properly to your chosen location on your computer. The Auto Save is only ever meant to recover files and should not be used for normal saving of a complete, just like other computer programs.
When saving a finished file you should always to to File > Save or Save as > Project. Then choose where on your desktop you would like the file to be saved.

When you relaunch CLO there should be a pop up for opening an Auto Save. Open the Auto save. Depending on what time you have you auto save set to will open the most recent one
