Importing a pattern from illustrator

Hello

Attempting to import an illustrator file into CLO. It imports only a few patterns and I get this message.

"There are Pattern points that are too close together. Please adjust the scale and try again."

What is the size of CLO's 2d art panel?

Is there an art panel/Document size limit when importing to CLO? 

In .AI should I have smaller artboards?

In all I have 20 patterns in 1 .AI file, Should I separate this to import to CLO?
