Unable to select/edit one edge of a pattern

For some reason, I am unable to sew together two edges. See image below. Nor can I select with the edit tool the same edge on the pattern too add points or even measure! Any ideas to solve this will be very much appreciated. Thanks, Chris

  Hi,

  I have outlined the edge in the pic below. The image on the right shows the edge that I cannot select with the edit tool.

  I can see an outline there which might be preventing you to select the outline. Can you turn off all baselines or even delete them by right clicking and select delete base lines. Also, you might want to zoom in a lot and select the outer line seen there and delete it.
