Make the intensity of the sewing zero "0" and you will see a straight edge.

See this old post where I run through the many seam to edge options that also include 'custom' pucker for any bonded raw edge texture and material type, you can basically place in any number of effects maps to work with custom seam-line normals and thickness render on the pattern piece > (all edges have some radii). You can set this curvature in the property editor eg: 5% pattern edge curvature.

If you want a custom raw edge texture you can load a custom normal map > eg: the bonded raw texture (as in your image with silver bonding). As you can see below you can get very creative capturing almost any edge texture imaginable.

Power user tip :  for CLO3D users > You can create translucent hems that appear folded over (and opaque) using a opacity mask and matching normal map. This is a very handy process that allows you to add in trim, via the seam that matches the tiled fabric texture for seemless transition including opacity change as you would find in a real garment. See below where an opacity on the trim / edge mask creates the illusion of a double folded seam at the pattern. This is done simply by matching textures and combining effects via the bump map/normal with matching stitching textures down into the pucker. This gives a photoreal non-destructive workflow, simply using custom library elements. So you can really 'soup-up' you garment detail work by stepping outside the standard CLO3D settings.

And here (below) is exactly the same fabric  texture with an elasticated edging using the same process (you can just see the extended opacity mask termination ) ... but with a new pucker, displacement, and edge treatment. Drag and drop seam to edge rendering at any complexity. Exactly the same fabric texture but two differing seam treatments - perfectly in pitch with the opacity mask down to the pixel.
