zoom function and total overview in 2D

I would love a button for total overview in 2D and also one for zooming like in Illustrator.

  Hello Willemdekooning. To view your entire 2D window press shift + ) . 

  If you need to the short cut can be re bound in your user settings. Simply go to Settings > User Settings > Shortcuts > Display > 2D Pattern > Zoom Extents All

  For regular zoom if you are using a three button mouse you can zoom using the scroll wheel. The other option is the the press the + or - button on your key board.

  How do I know what zoom percentage I'm at when zooming in/out?
