"Dead" lines using 3D Pen (Avatar+Garment)

Hi, 

I've encountered an issue where I'm using 3D Pen (both avatar and garment) where a random line "dies" and becomes unable to select, edit or delete, however it is recognized as an active line by the flatten tool. Any clue as to how I solve this issue? Currently working in 5.2. My only option as of right now is starting over from scratch, which is annoying.
