Compatible with PBR Material
This is a new feature 5.2. I have not found import of sbsar material anywhere. So I just dragged the sbsar file onto the pattern. Everything works. But there is no big question.
How do I adjust the material inside the clo? After all, the most important advantage of sbsar materials is their procedural nature and the ability to configure within the application.
I did not find anything in the manual. Will it be possible to configure sbsar inside the clo? Without settings, this makes no sense. This is the same as dragging and dropping textures.
By default, sbsar has a resolution of 512 by 512. This is not enough for high-quality textures. And I can not or do not know how to change this. Help me please.

Of course, I can customize what I need in a designer or an alchemist. and transfer the finished sbsar. But the meaning of parametric materials lies in the fact that the user can configure the parameters in the application itself. Your developers have another doctorate in ergonomics. I'm just in shock.

Are you using the PC version? I don't have that option on the Mac - it says that the file is not supported when I try to drag it onto the pattern.

Thank you. I did try dragging it in several ways, but as far as I can see it's not working on the Mac unfortunately (along with a few other things).

Not working on the Mac for me. Just tried it to make sure, but same result as before.
There are a couple of areas where the Mac is behind the PC version I think mostly to do with graphic card issues (not really Clo's fault - Apple is to blame here I think).Adam

ottoline Can I ask how you create your textures. I have managed so far using photoshop / maps etc but really need to learn how to do more knitted structures.

Ottoline, please never change. I think your posts are a brilliant mixture of passion and knowledge and I really appreciate them.
I know it seems unfeasible but I do have a t-shirt with a huge shiny vinyl sticker on the front of it that looks very similar to that. I don't wear it very often because it makes me (more) sweaty :DI think quite a few people without your texture database, CG knowledge and many years of experience will find this pretty useful. And those presets are quite adjustable too, so while some people will use the presets, others will alter them so it's not so obvious that they have used parametric images.
I'm much more of a jack-of-all-trades compared to you, and I will look forward to experimenting with it - I find it's always useful to have another arrow in the quiver :)Adam

I agree that the endless slider tweaking is a procrastinating trap that is hard to get out of.
I also think that there is a value to creating things that are not strictly possible in real life, fantastical creations of the mind. Having said that, if you know the (physically accurate) rules, then you have an advantage in knowing which rules to break to make your image. And sometimes I think it is OK to get to 80% if you have a deadline and a budget.On a more practical note, I've been looking at producing my own fabric scanner. Unfortunately my head space is not quite as innovative as yours :) do you have any advice you would be happy to share or can you point to any information where I can look further?
