ZBrush hair, material file and specular map
Hello,
I had a custom avatar created that I want to use in Clo and I am having problems importing the files that were created for the hair to look realistic. The hair was created in ZBrush.
I was able to import the obj hair and texture in Clo but not the mtl (material) file. I've been told that I need to play with the specular color and map to obtain the shine and realistic features but I cannot find the specular color or specular map on the newest version of Clo.
Is there a way to open and mtl file on clo?
Where can I find specular color and map?
Also, out of curiosity is the hair on the Clo avatars polygon hair or fur hair? is there a way to keep the hair and delete the avatar?
I am sorry for all the questions but I am running out of solutions. Thanks.

Hi nati, I exported one of Clo's avatars complete with hair and shoes as Fbx file and opened it in Blender.
It works and both hair and shoes are polygons ( triangles) and they appear as separate meshes that you can modify.
I'm learning Blender and hoping to be able to create new hair and shoes for my avatar.
But the problem is, as you show in your pictures, that Clo works with texture. You will end up with the same result importing an avatar from Daz.
By the way, your avatar face is amazing.

I generally resort to FBX for more complex meshes with lots of textures. Daniele observation is a good one. Why don't you try importing your avatar into DAZ, check for the effects you created in your other program, and then bring it as FBX to CLO. There are good online tutorials about exporting from DAZ to CLO.

Hi Pablo and Daniele,
Thank you for all the suggestions. Unfortunately, I am not well versed in DAZ or Blender.I tried the FBX option but the hair ended up looking the same.. (no material effect)..
Is there a way to use the Clo's default shoes and hair on a custom avatar? How would you disconnect the hair and shoes from the default avatars in Clo?
Where can I buy hair/shoes that I can use in Clo and put on my custom avatar?
Thanks again for all your help :)

Hi nati, I'm not good in DAZ or Blender too!
Have you checked the Clo Marketplace?
Some time ago erica posted this:In the post she explains how to mach shoes and hair with avatar.
I never tried, but I think it's possible to use other avatar's accessory on a custom avatar since the importig process has improved a lot in the last version.Have a nice day.
Daniele.

Hello nati, did you import as obj. or fbx.? if you import as fbx. you have different maps in avatar that you can treat.
