Pop-up menu not working?
I've been watching some tutorial videos on YouTube where, in order to perform certain functions, a tool is chosen and then the pattern or segment is right clicked on to bring up a pop-up menu. For example, I am trying to unfold a skirt pattern.
I have gone to my control settings and changed my presets to:
Pan: Right Mouse Button
Zoom: Left Mouse Button + Alt
Rotate: Middle Mouse Button
Pop-Up Menu: Shift + Right Mouse Button
I have tried right clicking and holding shift but I just can't seem to get any sort of options or pop-up menus to come up. Do I need to change a setting or am I pressing the wrong buttons? Please help, there are a lot of functions I'm unable to do until I can access these pop-up menus.
Thanks!

Hi Kuroshida,
Are you using a 3 click mouse (a mouse with a left click, right click, and middle scroll wheel)? Or are you working with a Mac Magic Mouse or touchpad?
If you are using a 3 click mouse, your User Settings should be set to Regular Mouse. Then you must select either the pattern piece with the Transform Pattern tool (first tool in the 2D Window) or select a line/point with the Edit Pattern tool (2nd tool in the 2D Window). After you select what you want to edit, just right click once and the Right Click menu should appear.
For unfolding, select the line you want to unfold from with your Edit Pattern tool and then right click to see the function.
If you are using a Magic Mouse or a Mac touchpad, you actually may need to enable your right-click settings. You'll find these settings in your computer's System Preferences under Trackpad. Go to the Point & Click section and check on your secondary click options. Secondary click should be On for you to be able to right click on your Mac.
Let me know if you still have issues after checking this.

Yes, I am using a 3 click mouse. I'm not sure what you mean by "your User Settings should be set to Regular Mouse". Do you mean that I should revert my settings back to default? I don't want to do that as I don't like the default keys for panning, zooming, and rotating.
I am doing what you're saying (select pattern piece with Transform Pattern tool) but when I right click, the cursor changes to the hand symbol as my right click is assigned to the pan action.
To combat that, I've already gone to the settings and changed the pop-up menu control to Shift + Right Click so as to differentiate between that and panning, but it still doesn't work. If I hold shift and right click, the cursor just stays using the same symbol and nothing pops up.

Yes, you need to return to the default settings. Reset in the settings. Due to other settings, you may have problems with the popup context menu. I do not advise you to change its settings. 90% of the work occurs in the context menu.

I have reset the settings and it is working now.
Although, I think it's problematic that the user is given a key binding option that does not allow for the program to work properly. If the pop-up menu can't work if the pan action is set to the right mouse button, then we shouldn't be given an option to bind to that key. There's even an option to re-bind the key for the pop up menu itself and that doesn't even fix the problem. This should really be fixed in future updates to avoid any issues.

Add custom shokats one by one. But it is better not to use the right mouse button. It is reserved for the context menu. After the addition, check the performance. Good luck. The right button is the holy of holies, do not reassign it.

Hi kuroshida,
Sorry, I misunderstood part of your question. I thought you were asking how to go back to the beginning/default settings.
You can keep the other control settings you want, but the right click menu doesn't recognize a CTRL/SHIFT + mouse button for the pop-up menu. If you want to use your custom navigation settings, you can switch your pop-up menu click to be Middle Mouse, Left Mouse Button + Alt, or ALT + Right Click.
