Adjust Avatar Measurements
In the avatar measurement editor, is it possible to enter the measurements with the keyboard or can you only use the sliders. If I double click the measurement it is highlighted but I can't change it.

@allyshake! You must be quite frustrated with our avatar editor! :(
Unfortunately, for now, you can adjust avatar sizing only via sliders. But, please hang tight as we are on our way to improve the avatar editor!

Thats great. Whilst most users are likely to adjust an avatar for real world measurements to suit themselves or clients, it will be good to adjust an avatar to achieve a 'fashion' look, i.e. 9 heads tall. This aesthetically more pleasing croquis is good for design and fashion drawing and potentially marketing materials.

thanks for interesting feedback. Let me forward this to our UX designers :)

Yes, we really need to enter numeric measures.
We also need the freedom to adjust west woman body with more realistic measure. Let me explain this point. I can't have the shoulder width of 39,5/40 cm, due to that the armhole in jackets, dresses, shirts result in fallen effect.
ps Anybody found the arm join to the torso hight? In my sleeveless dresses the armhole on the avatar looks always too deep, but in the real prototype is fine.0 -
Ideally the avatar editor would have two adjustments to mirror the armscye depth and width applied when drafting a pattern. These could be called Upper Arm Depth, measured from the armpit crease to the shoulder point; plus Upper Arm Width. However, these might not me practicable morphs on an avatar as a single adjustments.
Thus one adjustment for 'Upper Arm Circumference' might be all that is needed to achieve a suitable shape to mirror a real world situation.

If the armhole is to deep for sleeveless in the 3D environment, try to apply elastic to the Pattern outline to prevent the stretch.

Having watched the latest webinar, the host said that it would not be possible in future to edit measurements directly in the avatar editor and that only adjustments via the sliders would be available.
This is not an accurate enough way to edit the avatar to achieve measurements for your own size.
Also it was clear that many users want a bust cup adjustment in addition to the overall chest circumference which is currently adjustable.
Whilst it is relatively easy to import an adjusted avatar from Daz for example, the morphs in that program are typically percentage based sliders and it is not easy to measure the resultant change in Daz without purchasing expensive 'measurement metric' plugins; and then using the Taylors Tape which means adding many tapes at the mesh level.
So it is possible to make changes to the DAZ avatar, including bust size; (if you buy the morph pack), but difficult and time consuming to measure the resultant morphs prior to bringing it back into Clo.
Thus when you bring in that avatar to Clo you have to use the tape to measure your results. Thus you may have to make several iterations and go back and forth until you manage to get a useful avatar to match your own measurements. Then you still have to add the attachment points and bounding boxes to the imported DAZ avatar.
That's why I think it is imperative to make the editing of a stock Clo avatar easier and more accurate by having direct input of measurements and additional morph targets like bust cup size.

@Allyshake!
Let me explain more about the situation. The avatar we are offering now has no plans for improvement. This is because a new avatar model is required to improve the avatar size editor function. We're planning to model new avatars for the new avatar size editor, and in it, it will be possible to adjust the measurements with specific values.
We're also going to make the cup of bust able to be adjusted, there have been a lot of requests from other users as well.
Because developing a new avatar size editor is a huge project, thus we're going to make it step by step according to the priority.1 -
Hi Key, nice to hear you're working around these improvements.
I take the occasion to suggest to add a pose with feet on the ground, eventually in spite of ones of the default "artistics".With the new tool is easy to create more artistic poses especially when the skin texture still visible.( to do that, after activeted the show X-Ray joints I select the pivot point, the deactivate the show X-Ray joints so the skin is visible and help to avoid weird and unreal movement)
The odd thing is you have to redo the on off everytime a pivot change is needed. My last suggestion is: why not let the skin visible and just turn on the pivot points, if this is technically possible?
Thanks
Daniele.
