Open 10 X 10 square PNG in photoshop
I'm attempting to open a 10cm x 10cm square from Clo in Photoshop, but it keeps shrinking to around 7.5cm x 7.5cm. I've tried saving the file using snapshot and rendering, but it's not working. How can I ensure that the measurements in my Clo files match when I open them in Photoshop?

Hi sanfrancali
When you go to export an image with snapshot you will just need to make sure that you are changing the unit to cm and then enter the desired height/width. When you then go to open in Ps it should automatically open in the correct size :)

CLO Designers. Thanks for your message.
I tried that but the size is still not consistent between Clo & Photoshop.
I'm creating a 10 cm x 10cm square in Clo and saving with snapshot image size 105.8 cm x 158.71 cm at 72 dpi (3000 x 4500 pixels).
The file size is consistent when I open it in photoshop (105.8 cm x 158.71 cm at 72 dpi) but the square is 7.5 cm x 7.5 cm
I'm not sure what step I'm missing. Please see attached screen shots.
Thank-you so much for your help!

Hi sanfrancali
If you want the Snapshot to be 10cm x 10cm is there a reason you have input 105cm x 158cm in your above image?
For Ps you may just need to resample the size of your image. If you go to Image > Image Size. You can then input the exact measurement for your image and resample if needed

CLO Designers thanks for your reply.
I want the square size to be 10 cm x 10 cm and the overall image size to be 105cm x 158cm
Is there any way to have the same size in photoshop without manually changing the image size in PS? What's the default resolution to work with PS? 300 DPI?

Hi sanfrancali
This will depend on your computer and PS settings.
It is a bit confusing since you say you want the square to be one size and the image to be another. When CLO takes a snapshot it is like a camera taking a photo so while you can set the overall image to a desired size, what is in the image will be bigger or smaller depending on how close or far you are from the item. CLO is only going to take into account the size you want the image you are exporting to be and not how big whatever is in the image will be. That is up to you to focus in on.
Could you possibly explain further exactly what you are trying to achieve?
It possible that either exporting from the 2D window or exporting from Print layout mode may get you the results you are looking for depending on your goals

Thanks for explaining how the snapshot feature works; it's helpful to think of it as a camera.
I'm working on grading sizes using the 3D mannequin and garment panels from Clo in Photoshop. I need the size to be consistent and accurate between both platforms. The 10cm x 10cm square is how I'm checking consistency for panel sizes.
Right now, I can see that the 2D snapshot size matches up perfectly with the size in Photoshop.
Can you tell me how to make sure the 3D mannequin size is consistent in Photoshop too?
Thanks for your help!

CLO Designers i can also use rendering if that's more accurate for 3D? Or any other way to save images in Clo....

Hi sanfrancali
So glad that made sense. As for bringing in the mannequin image that again will be trial and error to figure out since that is not how CLO normally intends to export images. But I would instead recommend looking into grading in CLO as this might be easier, We have several videos about grading on our Youtube like this one HERE
