Binding disappears in simulation and rendering
Hello,
I have binding on an armhole and a neckline. The neckline binding shows correctly, and some of the armhole binding shows, but sometimes it disappears after simulation The binding type is set to over and the pattern piece is symmetrical (not sure if that makes a difference. I'm not sure why it disappears intermittently. Can anyone advise?

Try assigning the binding layer 1 in the pattern > property editor and then simulating (CPU) again. Then when simulated over, switch the layer for the binding back to zero and simulate again.

Thanks for advice. I am using the binding tool and I don't see a layer property for the binding. I tried changing the layer property on the actual pattern piece, but it didn't make a different. Also I tried changing the binding property to under, then back to over, but that also didn't help. Is there something I'm missing here? Thanks.

Hi Marine. When using the binding tool there is no layering option besides where you choose type of Over or Under. I believe what ottoline is talking about is making your own binding pattern pieces and then placing them on layer 1 to make sure that stay on top. This can be a great work around if the binding tool is not working how you want it to.
