Raw edge denim
I'm new with clo n denim, I want to create a raw edge for the denim and do exactly what the tutorials did. But the fur grows from the surface of the fabric, where is supposed to become fur. CLO told me that I have to apply the effect on the side of the fabric but nothing changed, please let me know where did I wrong

Might be helpful to also share your 2D screen. It looks like your pattern piece is very very small and you are zoomed very far in.
When you add a raw edge to your fabric it will add to all edges of that pattern piece. So the lower pattern piece will have raw edges all the way around. The raw edge piece is is meant to look like a raw edge from afar. So when you zoom further away it will have the appearance of a raw edge
This site HERE also had a great example of how the V-ray fur works and how to adjust

Here is my 2D window, yes my raw edge piece is small.
I understand what you mean but when I compare the two results below: mine and the tutorials, it's definitely different.

It doesn't look the same at all (pls note that my result is the upper photo), you can see the border around and the fur is so sporadic even though the high density was applied. Pls help me :(

Can you please share Your property Editor for your Fur edge. Without seeing your we cannot know what may be happening
Did you also look at the V-ray fur guide that we linked you to previously which can also help to answer your questions?

I also look at your guide link and it's very helpful, thank you~

Hi. First thing I see is that you are on the Front tab for your fabric. For Fur you want to go to the side tab and turn "Use Same Material as Front" Off. Then change the material to Fur. You only want fur on the edges and not front or back. Front/Back fabric tabs should be set to Matte (or whichever other material you want). See below images
You can also increase your Density all the way up to 1000 if you want more fur (adding Additional Thickness Render to your pattern piece can also add more fur).
Increasing the Gravity Y vector to a negative number will pull the fur further downward so it will not pop out or up. You can also adjust the variance levels do give the edge more variety in length, width, etc... so it does not look to uniform.
Hope this helps!

Sounds like you are on Textured Surface in the 3D toggle fabric View. Switch to Thick Textured surface
