adjusting bounding volume when making unique shaped 3d object avatar

hello - I am trying to adjust the bounding volumes around a uniquely shaped 3d object avatar. I cant seem to move, rotate, tilt, etc the bounding volumes that I create, only make them bigger and smaller - please help!

Also, is there a way to hide the other default bounding volumes?

  Turn off the XRay joint option in the Toggle Menu. From there select the bounding volume in the 3D window or select in the bounding volume list in the pop up. You will then be able to select the Bounding Volumes and move/rotate/scale with the gizmo.
