Creating multi-coloured fur
Hi, really desperate for help with this one please!
I want to render a top I have designed. It is faux-fur, with red, blue and black strands of fur all closely together so it looks dark purple when you are far away, but close up it has three clear separate colours. How do I do this?
Thank you so much!!!

There are a couple of ways of doing it. Can you share an image where we can see if the colors are on each strand or separate in sections, etc.

Hi Pablo, thank you so much, this image is the general idea, ideally each strand is a different colour (red, blue or black) but very close together (so not defined separate sections, an overall consistent look across the garment). Thanks!

Fur Gradation Color is the way to color it.

Thank you very much Pablo. Would you be able to please also explain or link how to do it in sections so I could try both? I just feel like when I did the fur graduation one colour is always much more prominent than the others. Thanks!

You could do a variation of both. To do sections you only need to plug a colored image in the texture slot. The strands will be colored according the texture you plug in to the base object. Then, you can play with the fur gradation to create a more subtle mix.
