Grading a neckline frustrations- lines are wacky and mis-shaped

Hi, 

 

I'm trying to grade my neckline and it looks so awful. I've tried everything, I've added points, removed points, adjusted the grading, removed the curve points, but I still get these wacky line shapes. WHAT IS THE DEAL. I'm losing my mind.  I'm a patternmaker & grader and in any normal CAD system I can just enter in grade for the width & neck drop and the lines are smooth and do not do this. AHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

please send help!

  Hi thngswewear

  When you are grading are you grading from the line or from the segment point? We recommend grading from the Segment Point and not the line.

  Hi, 

  Yes, I'm grading from the segment point.  I was able to mostly fix the problem by going in and removing as many curve points as possible and then very carefully moving them around so the neckline wasn't too distorted.  I think this is pretty time consuming though, I'm not sure it's working the way it should.
