Sewing Pattern to Modular Blocks

Hi, I am trying to use some patterns in the modular mode but find that the sewing only works for a limited number of styles with a number of segments that is compatible with that of the blocks.  I have attached examples. 

Is free sewing possible between the pattern and the block? How can I make the sewing between the pattern and the block more flexible, please?

  You can't. The blocks are basically templates that you place patterns inside of and link edges for your custom patterns to those templates. So in respect to the templates you have to work within those limitations. Which I agree for some designs is not exactly flexible. To my knowledge these templates cannot be edited nor custom made. What they show is all you get and it's very generic. Your basics only.

   

  Maybe someone else has a suggestion here on how these templates can be customized. I would be interested myself if this were possible - but I fear it is as-it-is.
