Inconsistent vertex count when exporting as pc2 + obj multiple times
Hi,
Currently I'm using the pc2 + obj workflow to export my simulations to 3dsmax.
Though this method is quiet frustrating. I need to resimulate something a couple of times with changing avatar animations.
Although the patterns and particle distance haven't been touched at all, the resulting exported obj and pc2 cache differ in vertex count and file size.
So I can't just exchange the pc2 cache in the already setuped scene and I have to redo material assignement, UV changes etc. all over again, every single time. Material IDs/Face IDs
are changing for unknown reasons, as well. In rare cases the vertex count hasn't changed and I just could swap the pc2 file.
I hope somebody can help.
