Delete shoes (but not avatar)

I am trying to figure out a way to delete the shoes of the avatar (I want him/her barefooted for the project I am doing). Anyone who knows a way of doing it?

  Right click on each shoe (make sure only shoe and not the avatar is highlighted) and you will see an option 'Delete hair/shoes'.
