Actual Working Snaps instead of Buttons

It seems like the only solution today to create a snap closure (like a placket) is to fake it by choosing snaps from the button options and sewing the placket closed. If you want the closure to actually work you have to also choose buttonholes and link the button (snap) and buttonhole. But this doesn't look realistic if you want the snap closure look realistic without buttonholes. I suggest either adding a separate section for snap closures (male and female) and allowing the snaps to be linked in lieu of choosing a button and buttonhole. Or keep the button and buttonhole category as it exists today but add the male snaps to buttons and female snaps to buttonholes. This dress is just an example of what I am trying to acheive. Today when I try this on the right side placket I have chosen buttons that look like snaps, but on the left side placket I must choose buttonholes in order to link the two to close the placket. Other option is to attached buttons that look like snaps on both sides of the placket and sew the placket closed.

  Thanks Joneien Johnson  to point out this problem.
  One of the solution for now could be use a button that looks like the tipe you want and set up the buttonhole trasparancy to 0%

  I'd love to hear some follow up on this thread. It would be awesome to have snaps that actually sandwich the fabric like real snaps and fasten to each other. I tried snap heads on both sides of the fabric and noticed that they float: Also I used the button hole method and it worked out ok but would love to see fastening snaps. Thanks!
