Problems with zipper - should I make rectangular hole for a zipper?
Hi,
how should I approach zipper modeling if I want this kind of zipper collar (as in attached picture). When I make just a cut in a fabric my zipper gets twisted in the end.
Should I make a rectangular hole for the zipper (it seems inconvenient because than I cant change the zipper width in Properties Panel?
Also why is my zipper black and white lol ??

Correct, you will need to cut a rectangular shape for the zipper, just like how it would be done in Real Life. But you will still be able to go over to the Zipper Property Editor and adjust the Zipper Tape Width to make sure that the zipper is the proper size.
For the Grey are you just need to flip the Normal map by R-Clicking in the 3D window. This most likely happened due to not cutting the bottom to have a rectangular shape
