import pdf pattern
I am new to Clo 3d. I am trying to add a pattern as a pdf. I have followed the instructions on a tutorial many times but it never does what the tutorial says.
I work in PS not AI and I have saved my pattern files as a layered and as a flattened pdf . I get the same result every time. I am obviously missing something very basic. Results in first image.
I then tried to import one of my placement print files, it is a layered pdf. It opens but it is as if it is flattened I cannot work with any piece individually I can only move the whole file around. Second image shows results

Photoshop will not produce vectors even if saved as PDF. You need to do this in Illustrator. You could bring the PSD file to Illustrator and use the Trace Path function to convert the lines to vectors.

Thank you Pablo,
I appreciate you taking the time to help me. I tried to search the problem asking if ps pdf is acceptable but could find no answer at all. I do not have illustrator so I will have to try to do it another way. I saw that it is possible to trace a pattern so I will try that, I am not sure if it will do what I want though. I do placement prints so to drape on an avatar I need to import the print also.

Colin, you could use Inkscape (Open Source vector drawing software) in case you don't own Illustrator.
