Fabric texture not looking correctly when rendering

Hi Frederik. It is not intended to look the same. The one on the left is real time rendering, which by nature is less precise. The one on the right is a path tracing rendering engine (V-Ray) which will do many more calculations to create the images you see there. I'd say that the main difference is lighting. You need to work with the lighting on your rendering scene to get the results you want.

There are 2 types of screen preview in CLO3D (low quality and high quality) and one render engine (vray) which is an incredibly good render engine for stills. You should be using high quality realtime preview in the realtime mode if you want a preview of the PBR type fabric materials.

The material shader (fabric) will render different results based on the render engine, (preview) or final (path tracing). And the environment (HDRI) will reflect differently based on which preview render engine you use. In preview mode you can load a PBR based material fabric and get a realtime high quality preview.

Try the two preview modes, you may find the high quality realtime mode is truer to the vray render representation of PBR based fabric material shaders.

TIP when using vray: In some fabrics > In the property editor > Material > reflection > roughness > you need to reset the materials reflection roughness from > intensity to > map.
