Editing Substance Files
Hi there,
I have really tried to find this through Adobe forums, but I'm at a loss. Hoping someone here can help. I just want to do very basic editing to Substance SBSAR files. It seems most parameters exist within the CLO property editor, but not color? That is really the most important thing I want to edit. The simple Web Player on the assets page in Adobe is really all I'm hoping to do. Does anyone know if this is possible to export out after tweaking in the Web Player or which if any Adobe program makes editing this easy? Or am I missing something in the CLO property editor?
Thank you!

Sorry, I have actually been able to find this in the property editor for some materials, but not for others. The above example I was actually able to edit the color. Is it just not always available for some substance files?

It probably has to do with whether or not the original Substance author set that parameter as editable. I would expect if a parameter is accessible in the web player, it should be in CLO, too.

Exactly. It depends on who created the SBSAR and which parameters were exposed.

If the substance shader uses an albedo image texture or the node graph uses a procedural texture it may not have a custom color adjustment, instead defaulting to the diffuse (scan) image, or albedo in the node graph. One thing to look for is 'colorizing' for images, which can be done in the Hue channel for any image > you can add these to your node graphs to get color variations.

I think I get it. I worked out that there are lots of parameters that affect color, but aren't called color :) I am very new to all the substance jargon of nodes and graphs...Thanks everyone!
