Grainy images despite LONG render time and 0.001 noise threshold! Help
Hi all!
I'm rendering an 360 turnable images/video but for some reason, one of my files appear super grainy under settings that have caused no issues for my previous renders.
I thought it may need a longer rendering time, as the fabrications are more detailed (crinkly-texture) and done from Substance Sampler. However, even increasing it to 40 mins per frame at 0.001 noise threshold, the image is still not clear.
Please help! Thank you.

Hi yeoluther
I know this may sounds counterintuitive. But when the noise is so low it often ends in a blurrier image due to many different factors (not enough time, lighting, computer power).
Instead we would recommend taking the time back down closer to the default of 20 minutes and then increase the Noise to 0.03.
You should then have a clearer image and faster results

Thanks for getting back!
I've followed your advice. Right now, it is stuck and still rendering despite hitting the 20 minutes mark. Does it mean the time set is not enough?

of course. we are happy to help.
Are you on a PC or a MAC? I did not notice earlier, but if you are on a PC you should change the Engine from CPU to GPU.
Also, possibly adjusting the Image size may help. Currently it looks like you are rendering a much larger area than you need to. Try to crop the Image size to something that just fits the jacket
Other things can vary depending on your computers Specs, you can find CLO recommended specs HERE. If you have a computer with higher specs it should be all good. But if you are more in the middle or lower you may need to further reduce different specs. Like taking Quality from Very High to High or Medium

I have not found a lot of difference when you have Quality on Medium compared to High or Very High. Try lowering the quality.
